Information About the Photos Shown on the Home Page

The "Model Railroads" photo was taken on February 28, 2012 on my Chartiers Branch layout. The always scenic S-curve is a great place to take photographs. Here the RS-1 (shown below) is pulling a mixed-freight train from Washington to Canonsburg, right alongside the branch's namesake, the Chartiers creek.

The "Equipment" photo was taken on February 16, 2011 of my S-scale RS-1 shortly after I had finished building the kit. This photo was part of a set of "promo" shots I took of the engine. It was taken outside under filtered sun light on my photography stand.

The "Structures" photo was taken on June 5, 2011. It is the O'Brien Steel Construction company, a shallow-relief kit. The NW2 in the photo is about to deliver a box car to the facility. Exterior lights are on.

The "Articles" photo is of me building track on my S-scale layout. The photo was taken on July 31, 2009 when I was building a turnout for one of the many articles on this web site.
