Over the years I have tried my hand at making scaled trees. Scratchbuilding is a big part of the enjoyment of the hobby for me. Making scale trees appears deceptively simple, but it actually is quite difficult to get something that looks good. Even though I describe my latest techniques here, I am by no means completely happy with the trees I have made. I will continue to experiment and, through trial-and-error, I hope to eventually find an effective method for creating realistic scaled trees. The following trees are covered on this page:
