This was to be my large N-scale layout. I realized I wasn't going to live in this house "forever", so I wanted to also focus on building a layout where the majority of the content could be saved. I started work on the layout in February 2003 and stopped in January 2004 due to a major change in my personal life. The plan involved installing a new wall in the large master bedroom of the house (which was there when we bought the house, but we removed it to open up the master bedroom), removing the shared wall between the closets of the master bedroom and the adjacent bedroom, building storage cabinets to hold household and model railroading "stuff", and finally building a point-to-point layout.
