Introduction

The GCLaser kit is made out of laser-cut thin plywood, sold in a clear plastic bag with 6 sprues (the composite photo shows both sides of the package), a collection of tar-paper roofing material sheets, and a single instruction sheet. The instruction sheet states that the modeler should build the parts in numerical order as indicated on the sheet. While that appears to be straight-forward, I still found it a bit confusing, and so I will elaborate on the steps in this article.

This photo shows all 6 of the sprues, consisting of different thicknesses of plywood. The parts are not labeled on the sprues, but they are identified in the instruction sheet.

This photo shows the instruction sheets, the folded-out package label, and the tar-paper roofing material.
