The toy museum in Nuremberg, Germany hosts a huge S-scale layout. The 325sqft layout was built between 1950 and 1974 by Dr. Wolfram Bismarck in his spare time, most of it scratchbuilt. The Union Pacific-based layout depicts the Nebraska/Iowa junction on the west bank of the Missouri River. Includes many photos, and a track plan of this rectangularly-shaped layout.

The owner of the Shelburne Museum in Vermont was a friend of A.C.Gilbert. Gilbert built an American Flyer layout at the museum in 1954, but it was retired in 1970. The authors all got together and built a new AF layout for the museum. Includes photos and a track plan.
