A special insert into this issue is the S-scale Primer which has current S-scale manufacturer advertisements, and two articles: "The Perfect Size - An Introduction to S Scale", "Getting Started - Your First Steps Toward Fun!". The articles cover a bit of the scale's history and what it takes to get started in the scale. Editorial: unfortunately, the two articles seem to focus a lot on the Gilbert toy-train side of the scale, which is odd considering that Railroad Model Craftsman is a more "advanced" hobby magazine focusing much more on "scale" modeling. If you are interested in S-scale, we highly recommend visiting the NASG web site for up-to-date information.
