The NS&T Reborn: William Flatt Has Another Go

William had to dismantle his previous NS&T layout due to a move, but missed having it, so he is building a new one, albeit a bit smaller. This photo essay article covers the first of the two sections that compose the 38" by 16' switching layout; the second section had not been started yet at the time of this article.

The Pre-Size Chesapeake & Ohio High Side Steel Gondola

Several people were involved in the evolution of the C&O gondola project that was eventually made available to the public via Pre-Size Model Specialties. The article includes the history of the prototype car accompanied by photos. The model photos included in the article are of pre-production samples that the author built to test the designs.

Building The Des Plaines RS-1 with DCC

The author shows how he built his kit (bought in 2016), which he postponed until he was retired and could give it the time and attention it needs. (As an aside, the kit was released under the "S Scale America" name, which is the manufacturing arm of the Des Plaines Hobbies retail store).
